Curatorial Abstract

Why the green parabolic cheatline and gold borders still define archival PIA models.

PIA's golden-era cheatline is one of the most photographed liveries in South Asian aviation. At 1:200 the curve from radome to empennage must stay continuous or the silhouette looks wrong.

Our Islamabad curators compare pantones against archival fleet photographs before each tampo run. Gold borders need a second pass so they do not blur into the green field.

Collectors often pair a retro 777 with a modern flagship to show how the airline's identity evolved without losing its emerald signature.
